For those of you who got laser

How long did it take? Is it pricey even if you don't have a lot of hair to begin with?

Do they really clock you as trans like all the horror stories?

God you’re so cute
I’m glad you still post
Sorry I don’t know anything about lasers and cannot answer the question

dey hea

I'm sure most would prefer it if I stop posting... But seriously anyone got answers?

>How long did it take?
pretty long, they had me wait about three weeks between every session, something about the way hair roots work that i didn't fully catch. i had 5 sessions total but its not like i could ever grow a full beard so im probably not really representative

>do they clock you as a tranny
they will get pretty damn intimate with your face and its hairs so i doubt they'll think you're cis? i just put my guy name and manmoded

Im always shaving to keep my face smooth but this pre hrt pic is the full extent of my facial hair....

Yeah I just don't really want it to be awkward I kinda want to avoid being asked about pronouns and whatnot :/

don't bring anything up, tell them what you want which is all they need to know. if they're polite they won't ask questions.
expect some light awkwardness, obviously, but don't let that deter you. your face aint worse than the middle-aged pubic regions they have to deal with every day

>15 weeks
>pretty long

give me a break, it's relative

To your age of 15?

from what i've heard laser doesn't work as good on dark skin, you might need electrolysis instead which is more expensive

laser prices aren't too bad if you shop around and use groupon.

idk if i get clocked, but i go there in boymode. i started going there a month on hormones and im six months now. though at the most recent session she complimented my eyebrows and nails so she's probably figured it out.

>How long did it take?
It's been like a year-ish at once every six weeks with a few missed/rescheduled appointments and most of it is gone.

>Is it pricey even if you don't have a lot of hair to begin with?
It was about $1k. I was pretty dumb though and did not check groupon for package deals and just went straight through the website.

>Do they really clock you as trans like all the horror stories?
They probably have considering I'm getting my face done but nobody there has ever brought it up or mentioned it. I go in, they zap the hell out of me, schedule my next appointment, then I leave and that's basically it. I wasn't even asked about pronouns. I'm very grateful for that. The closest they came to bringing it up was mentioning that hormone levels can affect hair regrowth periods which they want to schedule around to ensure maximum coverage per session. But that could have just been part of their standard intro speech that I overthought due to paranoia.

I've heard... I haven't really put much thought of finding what's available out there for me it's mostly just been a thought

T_T if it truly takes that long idk how I could possibly get it done while in university....

If it takes that long there's no reason to put it off any longer.

Looking to finish up at about 2 years for me, sessions spaced apart ~4 weeks at the beginning, ~8 weeks at the end. Very pale skin and dark hair, but starting with full-on thick lumberjack beard. It's a long and expensive process but 100% worth it

usually they charge more for men :/ I went in honmode and got charged the female rate though

>How long did it take?
idk, i'm still going but it's been 9 months
>Is it pricey even if you don't have a lot of hair to begin with?
started at 80cad a pop, started going down sometimes by five bucks, now 60cad a session
>Do they really clock you as trans like all the horror stories?
idk i get it done at my local tranner clinic, so stealth boymoding was never an option. tee bee aych it's super nice and convenient. the only awkward part is waiting in the lobby with like one other rando, and sneakily staring at eachother to try and figure out what sort of genderfuck the other is

lazer doesn't work for dark skin or blonde facial hair fyi

I have been to 5 sessions and already feel a big difference in facial hair and hair on my upper body (not that I had much to begin with) and it’s cost me a total of 0$ because I’m diagnosed at the state hospital and I can have as many appointments as I want.

>Do they really clock you as trans like all the horror stories?
Men get their beard lasered into a particular shape. Trans women get their beard lasered off completely.

Who's they?

I've had like 8 sessions or something total and it's made such a huge fucking difference, I used to be able to grow a full beard and had your standard 5 o clock shadow but now it's down to a little around the upper lip and chin (and my chest went from a dark coarse forest of nightmares to slightly fuzzy and soft with no dark hairs after 3 sessions)

I put on the intake form that I was trans but use he/him pronouns and what medications I was on, so they knew, and the girls who've helped me so far have been amazingly nice
