You could just… do what makes you happy and work on improving yourself. I care because hsts accurately describes my and others like me. The “born in the wrong body” thing is kinda cringe and not accurate, but explaining to people that some boys are essentially born super feminized so they transition makes a lot of sense.

It's just science bro. Only male-attracted male-to-females have brain scans that line up with normal heterosexual females, and the same in reverse for female-to-males. So, it seems like those are the only legitimate trans people. And it makes sense to me. When you also observe that MtFs outnumber FtMs by two, three, or even four times as many it seems to draw a conclusion that some of these trans people are not honestly trans, instead its something of a fad for them. You would expect the numbers to be similar, a 1:1 ratio for MtFs and FtMs but there isn't. Instead, it's very typical for these female-attracted MtFs to just be grotesque males who were rejected by all the females they came across, so they became a hideous imitation of a female to attempt to crawl through the grass like a snake to prey upon cis women as "transbians". It's just weird. If you're going to be trans, then it has to be because you want to appear feminine for a male partner, or masculine for a female partner, not because you want to desperately try (and fail) to appear feminine so you can try to appeal to lesbians.
Agps can do what they like, and some agps are passable, social and decent people, they usually just need to put in more effort and/or get luckier with genetics
I refuse to engage in debates about optics. It’s usually just a bunch of loaded questions. Plus, the amount of control you can exert over those who also use the label “transsexual” whom you find “cringe” is limited, so why fret about it?
The notion that supposed “AGPs” are uniquely cringe is stupid, though. Individuals are not reducible to identity categories. All the lesbian trans women I know are pretty cool, but they (wisely) tend to stay away from Any Forums, Reddit, and the “uwu coding anime blahaj” and sloganeering activist parts of trans Twitter. There’s definitely a correlation there.

Logging off and focusing on my friendships, the men and women I date, my family, etc. has made me happier. Nah there’s a lot of them. I do some public trans work in Holland and when I was brought to trans spaces it was overloaded with cringey autistic agps who Frankly, were cringe and some of them, a bit perverted when I talked to them.
