Psyop? No it's simply because the diaper stuff comes before the identifying as trans.

A lot of the ABDL population knew they were infatuated with the diaps and other baby paraphernalia from a very young age. Usually immediately following potty training. When these people (males) age into puberty, the sexual aspect is activated and overlayed on top of their pre-existing desires. This results in many male ABDLs getting into "sissy" porn and especially the idea of being turned into one. Now with a sissification kink baked into their brains, many of these males will begin to feel wholly uncomfortable as a male at all in any aspect of life... After all, they've been into diapers since 3 - 6 years old in many cases. The feeling of wanting to be treated as the little girl is transposed onto this kink, and so the sissy then becomes utterly convinced they were always meant to be a girl. Crossdressing will eventually follow, and that further fuels the fetish as well as the desire to *really* be the girl. Eventually culminating in medical transition.

If you study the historical literature on the population of "sissy babies" in past decades, these adult men would usually keep it as a kink. Few men actually let the fetish motivate them to the point of full-time crossdressing (embarrassment and humiliation are components of ABDL) and rarely transition. However in recent times with every teenager and their friends identifying as trans, the teenaged sissy baby has ready access to immediate and discrete delivery of adult diapers, HRT, and feminine clothes. It is no wonder why we see a significant portion of the trans woman population with this kink then. Technology and the modern world has made it so yet another population previously limited by access to information and services (trans gatekeeping) has been absorbed into the larger trans population as a whole.

I'll conclude with saying that even if a fetish has brought you to the point of transition, you're still valid.
