homura is a complex character and there were no good options for her, at any point during the narrative
she is fundamentally wrapped up in tragedy and eventually embraced her fate
while we cannot fault her for her circumstance and the ignorance that led her to make her wish, we should learn from her to not develop an unhealthy infatuation towards someone
although, considering what Madoka was capable of, it is uncertain that such infatuation is unwarranted.
looking forward to the next film, assuming it will be the conclusion of the story
