Not gay enough.

story as contained in the TV anime: pretty good, had some unique flair
story expanded with Rondox3 and sequel film: mindblowing masterpiece, a real gem of the medium
stories from the mobage: i sleep....

Dropped it at the start of a timeloop arc (yes, I watched 3/4 of the thing).
It was just idolshit with a pretentious gimmick.

Your loss and I say this wholeheartedly. I dropped it after Ep. 1 when it started airing and I regret it to this day.

It rearranges some of the plot and adds some new connecting scenes after most of the revues. Ties it nicely to the movie proper but isn't otherwise remarkable.

banana did nothing wrong

you can't convince me this isn't the best series of all time

what a decent number of people didn't get was that the film totally recontextualizes everything that happened in the TV anime and is a pretty important bridging piece between that and the film followup. the sequel really needs Rondo for its narrative and themes to fully work, otherwise you just get an incomplete picture and experience, perhaps without even realizing it. tbdesu I just didn't even get Rondo the first time at all and it only made sense once the sequel film fansubs were out and I realized it was picking up on all the important new elements introduced from Rondo
