Joseph Brooks
>devilman but no more heroes

that's not a bad thing honestly. truly original is rare or doesn't even really exist. good writers take a few influences and tweak them in a way that feels unique even if at its core it's not too different from what came before it

Jesus, i remember reading the weekly-ish fire punch threads, i was there since the first chapter, i discovered by browsing through "one shots" on some random manga website. (FP started as a oneshot).
I actually saved the last thread as a series of screenshots to never lose it.
Watching fuji go from mildly unkwnown mangaka making an unapologetically weird manga about a mf on fire that ended up being one of the best manga i've ever read, to, thanks TO the success of that manga, skyrocketing in popularity and getting into jump plus with chainsawman and it immediately becoming one of the most popular and mainstream mangas in the world is fucking AMAZING, it's like watching your kid grow up.
and i LOVE when people start off with chainsawman and then check out fire punch and realize the undiscovered gem that it is.
it's only a matter of time until we get the Fire Punch anime
