Not really. Considering they allowed Badigadi to not only enter the school premises but also made a deal with him and they took his arm to research immortality even made him a teacher. It seems like a good trade at first but it's absolutely not.

The academy is one big shitshow and the story doesn't really try to hide it either.
The humies aren't good with magic in the first place the truth is that they never were good at magic especially after the Laplace wars where a lot of knowledge was lost.
In fact Millisfags are masters of Barrier, Healing, Detox and in fact very much surpass the academy in those fields.
Academy was established by the triumvirate trying to sort of improve the magic technology of humies but their base knowledge is low to begin with thus they close their eyes in regards to a lot of things when it comes to Rudeus, Ariel, Nanahoshi etc that can bring them benefit.
