When my buddies discovered this anime, it was a "hardcore" test.
If you cried, you weren't hardcore.
I was sat down with a bunch of people and told to watch it.

Well, I have to admit that I felt things. There was a certain amount of outrage towards the aunt when she wasn't feeding the kids the same food she fed her family, and you know, there were other moments when I *wanted to cry* but I kept telling myself, "this is fiction, this is a cartoon" until I felt nothing.
