I feel like it's impossible to not disappoint. For one thing, it's rare for something to have this much hype going in. Secondly, the manga's cinematic storytelling that made its popularity spread memetically will mean that every adapted panel will be held under a ton of scrutiny. I know I personally have idealized versions of panel adaptations in my head that will definitely not match the anime.

yea I’ve read csm enough times over that I already have a head canon for how everything will look and sound. instead of the normal anime where it’s fun to see my fun manga panels moving and talking this one has to go up against the idealized version I’ve already created. that being said I don’t really care about anime, the manga is still great and continues to be great.
