Seriously what was the point of armament Haki when a counter measure already existed? Sea prism stone was supposed to come from Wano but some Navy fucker in a filler arc used it better than anyone in Wano. If Kaido and Luffy had such a close fight and Kaido didn't use a Sea Prism stone club does that Luffy would have lost if he did? Seriously not one motherfucker worth a damn has a Sea Prism Mallet or something?

Seastone is a leftover from the original timeline where One Piece was good and made sense. Just imagine, we could have had a whole counter-df system based on seastone, something that Smoker's jitte foreshadowed. Instead we got haki shit. Fun fact, Smoker getting powercreeped was a direct manifestation of the fading relevance of seastone in favor of haki. Oda dropped the ball hard.

The real answer is because ruffy was too stupid to use it, realistically speaking. You could totally see Zoro getting a sea-prism tipped pommel or even a sea-prism sword, and sanji getting sea-prism-toed shoes, but can't see ruffy with a weapon or even sea-prism tipped knuckles because of his gear 3 techniques.
Haki would have been cool if it had just stayed at conqueror's haki.

haki officially appears far earlier than you guys are thinking, not even referencing it's unofficial appearances in alabasta and skypeia it was still around since the mid 300s.
blackbeard's final spoiler ability is going to be the ability to absorb seastone's DF canceling ability and he's going to shit on some seastone using cuck like Smoker just before Luffy shows up to the final battle

Why can't Luffy just stretch out Sea Prism Rings using awakening? Or better yet he could just rely on his crew to use Sea Prism Stone for him. That would go along with the theme of him relying on his crew to do what he can't.

I don't know how Oda would have felt about awakening the Rubber fruit offscreen and THEN having it revealed as the nikka fruit. Having the rest of the (non-DF using) crew wield sea-prism stone would be cool though, I could totally see usopp being in charge of nerfing logias by lodging just enough sea-prism stone in them to negate the logia buff.

I remember it was stated early on that sea prism stone is a "very limited resource", so they probably distributed it very limited quantity to MARINE bases across the world to they all are capable of dealing with at one or two df users they need to keep imprisoned. As far as we know, even a Shichibukai like Crocodile had just barely enough to make the bars of one prison cell out of it.

and then they had a whole train with rails interspersed with sea prism and boats with sea-prism bellies to ward off sea kings.
I don't care that they are a marine thing, there have to have been enough marines/marine ships that got their asses handed to them for pirates to have a healthy (if a bit frugal in use) stock of salvaged sea prism stone.

Except Wano was where Sea Prism Stones came from and they were barely utilized there. Kaido ruled Wano for 20 years and not a single spike is made of SeaPrism stone
