>super edgy protagonist that is more evil than his adversaries
how did alucard succeed where ainz failed?
Super edgy protagonist that is more evil than his adversaries
Ainz wants to have it both ways which makes him completely inconsistent
I think that describes why I hate Overlord. They try to have him be this likeable guy that's trying to build his empire and then he tricks some people into his dungeon so he can have them raped and mindbroken and their bodies replaced with beetles or some shit (it's been awhile)
real people are inconsistent like that, user. That's precisely what makes Ainz believable
Ainz isn't edgy and hellbent on killing people. He doesn't feel anything when they die but that doesn't make him edgy.
Edgy just means they don't try to save everyone's life like Deku, especially if they are the enemy.
That doesn't erase his actions. He's still slaughtering tons of innocent people, just because he's emotionally detached from it doesn't erase the contrast between that and his occasional acts of kindness.
"innocent"
he set them up as if it was a mindless NPC monster lair so he could experiment on them
He directly told them not to do it and warned them they would die. It's not his fault that they chose to steal anyway.
>which makes him completely inconsistent
He's just a huge hypocrite.
>uhm those fleeing soldiers are NOT innocent!
Ainz despite being a skeleton still has that wish fulfilment type feeling that isekai protags have. So its kinda lame.
Yeah literal military targets on a battlefield are the opposite of innocent. Do you want me to make your argument for you? Because I could do a whole lot better job.
alucard is just cooler and has a significantly cooler aesthetic or rather hellsing as a whole has a way cooler aesthetic than overlord
hellsing has
>cool protag
>cool supporting characters
>cool antagonists
>cool story
>cool visuals
>story that is actually clearly defined and has an end
overlord has none of this
Ainz has 0 charisma, is a retard, wishes to create muh utopia but still takes the most extreme measures and resorts to atrocities at every turn.
Alucard is imposing, he's not a retard, the villains are great, the side characters are also great, and he's not some inconsistent moralfag.
Overlord is wants to have its cake and eat it, the antagonist is the villain but he's also very benevolent at times and saves random villagers because his friend once saved him, it's just badly written, just what you'd expect from the average isekai
That description doesn't apply to Alucard at all. All Alucard wants is to be slain by a human pushing himself to his absolute peak and in the mean time until he gets that he works for the Hellsings killing weaker vampires.
>Overlord is wants
>haha you made a typo
don't taint logh with your faggotry
>Super cum guzzling champion OP
Wow! how did you win at that competition OP? Maybe because you were born for it and practiced drinking cum by the gallon? I sure didn't since it didn't interest me.
>overlord fags seething
pathetic
>no don't you dare make fun of my seasonal isekai!
What do you mean taint it? It's a soap opera for women.
whatever you say digitranny
>Great soundtrack in both adaptations
So who is your favorite husbando?
GAR
Fahrenheit
Point was that Dracula and Ainz are polar opposites. Dracula has lived for thousands of years and has experience, Ainz is a bugman salary man. No contest.
OP the cumguzzler is making this thread in bad faith.
Also how is something being seasonal an insult?
Youd rather be milked dry like the goycattle you are for 1000+ episodes of goyslop like Onepiece, naruto and bleach?
VIVY was a seasonal anime. 13 episodes of that delivered more than 13 years of aforementioned series did.
I think they're both horrible characters personally.
Every single one of the people that he has killed would have had a chance of dying without him even being there. The only people this doesn't apply to are the Holy Kingdom and the frost dragons
>carne village would be dead
>Gazef would be dead
>E-rantel turned into undead hellhole
>Kingdom would have devolved into civil war
>workers could have died on other missions
>draconic kingdom would have been conquered by beastmen and had it's citizens devoured
>dwarfs would have been wiped out
>either empire or theocracy would have been attacked by beastmen
>etc
Ainz at least tries to be reasonable and shit would be worse without his presence, the real issue is some of his subordinates like Demiurge and Albedo who are way too damn bloodthirsty and he's too much of a coward to correct them since he's afraid of fucking up and causing a massive fuckup because of his stupidity. Dude only has an elementary school education and lived in a fucked up dystopia, he's doing pretty well considering he's a brainlet with only his autism for game mechanics and occasional wisdom and memories from his friends and servants helping him.
Overlord is self aware.
>more evil than his adversaries
Highly questionable in Alucard's case.
whether a character is 1 000 or 30 yo is of no importance when it comes to fiction, or did you think the authors have lived just as long to know how a 1 000 yo vampire would act and think like? for all intents and purposes all characters fall into 3 categories:
children
adults
geezers
I don't have a dog in this thread but I don't think you can justify your actions by saying a lack of said actions would've still resulted in the same outcome, especially if like Ainz you seek to establish a better world.
Eh, Alucard was about as evil as his antagonists, really. There were no good guys in Hellsing aside from Ceras.
>1000 years of experience = 0 experience
Oh ok so I was replying to a braindead retard.
Carry on.
arucado has krisma
And Hellsing does not really take itself that seriously.
Alucard is just some buck broken cuck who wishes for a real man to put an end to his pathetic existence. Shit character.
OP isnt even fucking Alucard you fucking nonces
It's Dracula
Alucard is blonde
Deontological ethics are actually a minority among thinkers, being mainly a religious thing, and whether you look at things from a consequentialist or utilitarian perspective, all of the lives he saved still matter a great deal more than any collateral damage.
