One Piece

Jinbe doesn't feel like a Straw Hat at all, and no amount of forced interactions with the rest of the crew will change that.

I actually agree. His attitude and background is utterly at odds with everyone else’s vibes and every attempt so far to make him integrate into the wacky banter is fucking blatantly artificial, forced, and cringey.
Why the fuck do they even want a dedicated helmsman at this point?

I mean in my opinion Brook should've been the last Straw Hat.
I don't think adding a new member to the crew adds anything as Oda can't handle the sheer amount of characters he has to manage nowadays.
It took 10 years for Brook to get to do something cool in Whole Cake Island.

I liked that moment.

Nothing new under the sun.

why even introduce new crewmate when series is on its last legs?

It’s fine, he’s just a mild mannered grandpa who always pulls up when he’s needed. At this point, Law is more a strawhat than he is though, because he’s being introduced with just a few years left to bond with the crew whilst the endgame picks up and a gorillion more Elbaf/WG/Moonman characters get introduced.

He literally fits a fleet commander more Oda making the fish join is Chosen Piece

OH GOD THIS RETARD ACE LIKED IS SO AMAZING I THE 40+ YEAR EXPERIENCED PIRATE WARLORD AM GONNA JOIN THIS VIRGIN PIRATE AND HIS ROOKIE CREW OH I LOVE YOU LUFFY SO MUCH

Carrot fits the straw hats better.

>artificial, forced, and cringey.
That's just Hackda's writing in general.
One Piece hasn't improved or evolved at all in 20-odd years. Instead it's stagnating, repeating the same tired gags, the same uninspired save-the-princess story arcs ad infinitum.
Oda is a manchild who is scared of growing out of his comfort zone or doing anything new, and his story suffers for it.

What if One Piece was a seinen?

#4 HANDS WROTE THIS POST

Zoro's fights are only good because of his opponents. Kaku, King, all funny and yet cool opponents.

Crocodile, Smoker, and Capone smoking together.

> Jinbe doesn't feel like a Straw Hat
That is literally the point. Did you not see his role in WCI making the other Strawhats get along with Bege. He gets the Strawhats involved in the more shader aspects of being a pirate since he's been a pirate for so long. You think they would have worked with Bege without him?

unironically agree at least she shared a theme with them all wanting to go on an adventure

based

come to think of it shouldn't Jinbei have had his own damn crew.

>That is literally the point
it's shit on purpose will never be a valid excuse

Carrot!

Jinbei should have been in charge of the Grand Fleet. A strong, loyal and moral ally with experience and wisdom.
