Frankly this attitude makes little sense in GS's world due to how omnipresent and dangerous goblins are.

The gods can spawn NPCs whenever they please, if he kills every goblin they can just make more appear and everyone will rationalize it as him having missed one nest somehow.
He doesn' realize this, or he doesn't care, or he doesn't want to think to hard about it despite having seen plenty of hints so far, or witnessing it firsthand if you consider Year One canon.
In fact, depending how you want to interpret the gods' game sessions, it's GS himself being around that's causing goblins to appear sometimes and for utter batshit nonsense like a goblin riding a dragon just happening to be around when he's adventuring.
If he stops the goblins will go on as usual probably not any more or less than before and the gods will stop trying to drag him into sessions tailor made for his goblin autism and inflicting goblins on innocent people as collateral damage.
