Oricon's Top 10 Weekly Chart by Series (08/15-08/21)

For reference, Tokyo Revenger released a new volume on August 17.

Spy drops 30k from last week, natural decline so far. Anime boost is slowly running out, we’ll see if it decreases again next week or have a rise. New key visual for Spy cour 2 is this Sunday so I’m expecting a rise. The editor is saying volumes are constantly on reprint so that’s a good sign.
Aoashi hasn’t left top 10 for a long while, which is amazing.
One Piece is still going strong with all its promotions and Film Red. It’s also been about 3 weeks since JJK and OP released their new volumes.

i know everyone makes bait threads but im hyped for the chainsaw man anime to have the volumes glued to the top

Chainsawtrannies... we haven't been on this list even with Part 2...

Redditsawbros...

pissbros?

I think the shitposters know the obvious. Whether you like it or not CSM will appear on the chart when its volume 12 releases along with the anime boost. It’s made the list in the past so there’s no reason for it not to again.

Split cour really fucked SxF, now there's a legit chance OP can catch up and in the fall it won't have the same attention with csm coming out

Thanks, One Piece got a powerful boost from the movie.

The way I see it, SxF has had stable sales for a while post-cour 1 and is begging for a new volume, which is coming on October 4, right alongside cour 2 and its anime boost. I don’t think CSM is going to do too much to Spy sales. OP’s promotion boost is already starting to slow down and its new volume sale will reach its ceiling pretty soon. Spy’s lead is still about over a million and that lead will extend when October comes. Spy may have a chance to even beat TR and maybe JJK depending on how well volume 10 does and how much the anime boosts it again. The Oricon Yearly cutoff is in November.

CSM saturated. No boost from part 2 or the new trailer so the hype was mostly from the west. I'm not expecting the anime to do anything at this point.

Spy x Family volumes 1-6 broke 2 million. Volume 7 will get there in 5-6 weeks. Volumes 8-9 are definitely breaking 2 million by the time this Oricon year ends. Just put to it into perspective, SxF is the 5th manga in the Oricon Era to break the “2 million copies in a single volume sold” mark (which it did back in May with its volume 1 while the anime was airing). The others that have broke the 2 million marks are
>One Piece
>Attack on Titan
>KnY
>JJK
I believe the next series closest to the 2 million mark is volume 1 of AssClass sitting at around 1.8 million.

>28. Tokyo Revengers #28 (19,157 / 867,169)
Tokyo revengers backlog is too OP

lmfao Juju struggling to hit 1.5M in a month. Decline Kaisen is real

>01. Tokyo Revengers #29 (444,084)
>Nearly a 50k increase from vol.28
Sasuga Sanzu fujos

I think either chaisaw man or tokyo revengers are going to be next to reach 2M ,i mean their first volumes

There is still another last volume for Tokyo Revengers, right? I think that would be what it needs to clinch the first place.

Going to give the volumes released count for each series so far this Oricon year:
>JJK- 3
>TR- 5
>SxF- 1
>OP- 3
>MHA- 3
>Mystery- 2
>KnY- 0
>Kingdom- 2
>K8- 3
>GK- 4

Chainsaw Man #1 at the moment is at just over the 1 million mark. Depending on how well the anime does, it has a good chance. Tokyo Revenger #1 is around 1.5-6 million right now.

Wish that retard who said that jjk would reach to the 100m mark in circulation see how it's having a sharp decline

Bake bros we stay winning. Solidified as legacy media

Depends on if TR can squeeze in one more volume before November rolls around. It releases a volume about every two months so a new volume should be released around November 17. Oricon year normally ends at around late November so I think it has a chance of beating JJK.
