While I agree with you with most things, you're looking at the "reusing" part backwards. This scene was evidently made for this part, they "reused" it when they decided to show it earlier on, than create a more abstract one, evidenced by the changed lighting. It looked way too good back then for how little it was showed.

Okay. I'm a confused anime-only. Vueko wondered if it's really Irumyuui's wish to be a village and give them a new form that will allow them to live forever. And it was then revealed that Wazukyan tried using the Cradle of Desire. So did Wazukyan wish for Irumyuui to wish for the village? As it's questionable for Irumyuui to wish that in particular? Kinda confusing set of events.

This was an amazing episode. Probably one of my favorites of all time. Didnt expect this.
Faputa being the last child of Irumyuui and carrying on her true wish was kind of beautiful. Yes I know this is a series with a lot of weird fetish crap, but the warm darkness of Vueko comforting the souls of the children, and Faputas birth and ultimate wish was amazingly well done.

Yeah, it does make much more sense they did it that way, I was just foolishly holding hope that they would animate it in more detail for the full reveal due to the lack of blood/fluids compared to the original panel

Narratively speaking it's one of the highlights of the entire series, it reconceptualises a lot of the early parts of the arc, and is the cornerstone of the rest of it going forwards.
While I may be a bit iffy with specific details in how they adapted it, that's largely because of how much I adore it the first time I experienced it, reading the manga, I'm sure for AOs it's a peak as well, as it's the first time they experience it.
