EoE should be discarded too, because it’s nothing but a dumb, meaningless spectacle made from cut content and already discarded ideas, and presented with a vein of bitter cynicism entirely at odds with the original work (NEETs aren’t good at taking criticism, who knew?).
But I’ve had plenty of people screaming at me that EoE totally counts and, even though it’s outright presented as an alternate take on the story, is definitely the canon ending. So fuck you, I’m going to quite happily take what enjoyment I got from Rebuilds and consider them just as valid.

What enjoyment can you even get from Rebuild?
Characterization is fucked, animation is straight worse than EoE(Mitsuo Iso at its best vs A Pentium 4), and the "message" is even more muddy than last time.
In original series: learns to live with himself, he's not the disgusting person he believes people see him as, he accepts life is hard but he can power through by accepting the highs and downs.
EoE: Again life is shit but also good message, ends up with Asuka who, as a real human bean, treats him like shit but actually likes him so has some consideration for him
Rebuilds: I'm done with EVA I fucking hate it, it's all a charade("get it? stages and backdrops hahaha I'm such a fucking genius"), a big titty cute nerdy GF will fall from the sky on your head one of these days trust me, in the meantime go enjoy your wageslave life while I actually made it and make Godzilla and Kamen Rider movies.
That "argument" he had with neets was more soulful than whatever half-assed cop-out he put in the Rebuilds. I'm not even an Asukafag or a Reifag, Rei is a doll and Asuka is a fucking bitch so don't try to pin that on me.
