10 years and 3 months.
390 chapters.
Was it worth it?

Kinda underwhelming.
10 years? No. No, fuck off. There's no way it's been 10 years since Punk Hazard.................................................. holy fuck am I so glad I dropped this shit in Dressrosa.
>10 years
why is this manga so badly paced? Oda had 10 years to write a realistic progression yet it still felt like their victory was an asspull
>5 years of medieval Japan
Fuck off
10 years of post-ts and it's still inferior to pre-ts
no oda shouldve cut underling backstory like i dont care about senor pink or scabbard just put their origins on vivre card or something like that
that's not really what stretched the story out, it's the countless chapters where nothing happens but match ups that go nowhere just for the sake of having a fight, all those chapters wasted in the Colosseum, Sabo vs Fujitora, Doffy chasing Law for like 1/4th of the duration of Dressrosa, all the pointless fights in Punk Hazard, Wano is also filled with these shitty moments, Zoro vs Killer, Sanji vs Drake, you get my point.
Oda just hates going straight to the point.
Fucking hell bros, where did the times go
Ending a 10 year saga on a 6/10 arc
WCI fooled us into believing Oda still had it
It's pure shonen autism.
>what do shonen characters do?
>uhhhhhhhhh they fight?
>ok but just in this one arc you have like 50 characters, you're not gonna make every single one of them fight, are you?
>.................
At some point in the series, Oda prioritized match-ups over the actual narrative. Marineford is where this dumb shit started, but you could also see vague shadows of it by Enies Lobby.
It would have been much better if he went with 4 scabbard like he originally planned
those were like 1 chapter each the problem is luffy running to X place for 50 chapters then dying then doing it again to get back to X then dying and doing it for a third time and every running chapter is the same thing
also the look at these new 100 characters youll only see once powerpoint presentation
I don't think his plan extended to the minks and the samurai.
at least Marineford was an actual war so the match up shit wasn't as forced as what came later.
Wano was a war too, and look how egregious that shit was. You don't need to see every single side of a war, just focus on the shit that actually matters. I'll give Marineford credit because despite everything, most of it was still focused on Luffy even with the pockets of extended side-character fights. If Marineford was made today, it would be four times as long, and with half or even a quarter of actual narrative content. Oda lost his marbles.
How is Marineford a worse offender of being driven by mathcups than Enies Lobby here? EL was literally all about every straw hat (except Usopp) and Franky before he was a member having a 1v1 with a CP9 agent to save Robin. Marineford just had tons of small clashes between lots of character that lasted a few panels at most because it was a war and meant to be chaotic.
OH SPEEDREADER-KUN!
His plan was to PISS off Kaido and have Kaido fight Mr Flamingo. Law never intended to actually take down Kaido.
KAIDO WAS ALWAYS A HEAT-SEEKING MISSLE TO TAKE OUT DOFFY BUT THEN STRETCHY BOY GON AND FUCKED IT UP AND MADE LAW and COMPANY NEW TARGETS FOR KAIDO HEAT-SEEKING MISSLE.
Fucking a why dont you actually read all the speech bubbles faggot
Law Piece is officially over, i hope we see him in 10 chapters though.
Is it even worth reading now if you don’t have nostalgia for the show? It seems like such a mountain and I am afraid it isn’t worth the effort.
You know, his plan really fucking sucked.
>defeat doffy
>destroy sad factory
>stop smile production
>make kaido cry
And the Gifters were useless fodder in the raid, it wouldn't have made any difference if Kaido had more of them
>not liking senior pink
Rate my OC:
Fucking hell Kizaru the plan wasn't meant to take down Kaido it was meant to take down Doflamingo for Law's personal revenge. Kaido was just the bait he dangled in front of Luffy.
His plan was shit becouse he only really wanted to kill Doffy and leave his crew safe in Zou, i think this is why he put his neck that much on the line in Wano.
It's so not worth it, it's been ruined beyond salvation. It used to be worth it like 12 years ago. Now? Not so much.
