Final chapter isn't far away anymore according to Yukimura. What are you looking forward to?
Vinland Saga
Absolutely nothing, I pretend that the story ended after Askellad died. Thorfin wandered the world after that and either died in a fight or returned back home.
That's it.
>Final chapter isn't far away anymore
This makes it worse. I haven't read the latest few chapters but was it still in its buildup phase?
I doubt any convincing conflict can happen now if it ends soon. Well depending on what he means with "not far away anymore".
Everyone dying because Thorfin is a fucking retard.
Thank Christ, somebody put the poor sick dog down already. It's a shame how this once great series went completely down the shitter.
More "white people and men are bad" rants?
i picked up the manga after the show. what a shitshow.
he turns into Kenshin. you cant do kenshin better than kenshin.
Genocide
On either side really
What I'm honestly expecting though is the "bad" settlers get killed off in a war and the "good" settlers get integrated with the tribe, like what was speculated to have happened with the real Vinland settlers
Minus the war part, maybe
I wish he was Kenshin, that series actually worked for me. And Kenshin didn't have it that easy, he was always getting into conflicts and he had to fight, even when he tried to not kill or hurt anybody.
Thorfin is just lucky as fuck and something always happens the last second to make him get out of a conflict without ever touching a weapon. Kenshin didn't have this preachy shit either I think. At least it wasn't as blatant as "women peaceful, men evil".
>"As a matter of fact, there are not that many roadmaps left. We are not that far away from the final chapter"

This is literally the fate of all long running manga, nips always seem to fumble at one point
I wonder if his next series will be better. A lot of manga simply turn to shit because they are running for too long. If this was a series that already started with a bigger female cast and all that shit and wasn't about vikings it would surely not be as bad as it is.
But I will wait. Wasn't a fan of Planetes either and the only good things from that series were original anime ideas. Would be cool if he had a fresh start with something historical again that is shorter, but I am not even sure if he is capable of writing non-family/feminism shit anymore.
It's sad, because men make up half of humanity and yet there are so few series about adult male characters you can read and relate to.
it ending and thorfinn dying.
Ig that's what you got from the last arc, you truly are retarded.
Historically, we know the settlement is going to fail. The only question is how and whether or not they'll survive.
I bet it will be some trash like Thorfinn preventing the conflict by sacrificing himself like Jesus, and the evil men learn that conflicts are always evil no matter what and burn their weapons at the end. Afterwards we see Gudrid's brat as the "new hope" and some panels that show the future of humanity while some native is giving some prophetic moral bullshit speech.
>MC grows from a brat to a patriarch leading a colony with two wives and a son
No shit you can't relate lmao
Im only lenient with people who are chasing after weekly deadlines where an eventual burnout might be belieavble but this author for whatever reason deliberately decided to write the most rubbish humanly possible. Literally zero respect
I hope and I know thorfinn will end up like his father. His father died without raising his sword whereas thorfinn will die taking up his sword. They both went against their code and it's poetic
anime should have ignored the manga and gone its own direction.
I was referring to the amount of children and women modern media is flooded with. It's not like the men in VS were hard to relate to, it's just that most of them got forgotten and shoved away for more Gudrid, became comedic reliefs or are Thorfinn. Thorfinn was completely fine up till the end of Farmland too, but now the story is a trainwreck and all he ever does now is siding with the bullshit women say.
No point because the anime only adapted the first part so far.
I agree that they should go anime original after Farm arc though.
Looking at the point of no conflict, my guess is that Thorfinn and everyone just leave.
Him not being karate viking jesus
Thorfinn getting everyone but the guys who brought weapons killed by the natives, who will themselves be obliterared except for the shaman.
Who I am kidding, magical Thorfinn will find a way for peace and everyone will live happily ever after, and even the tranny will find a native husband to marry.
