I still remember those days in 2009 waiting for GG to sub Bakemonogatari, and then we thought Shaft would never a subsequent seasons, but they did and gave us many more. But with current Shaft it actually feels like we might never get more.

Gore was the standard way to shit up shit threads. It took a while for mods to respond to it. Now i'm not sure if the goreposters just don't post here or if mods are quick about it because you never see it on here anymore. Any Forums is so insular it's hard to tell.
CP spamming has always been a thing but mods kill those incredibly quickly.

There was a gorespammer that I sort of remember, but I remember most threads being okay. I don't recall CP being posted, however. Lots of Deneb, Altair, Vega posting because of the ED, and I also remember waiting for Sora no Manimani subs that season too. Also lots of Snek OP and Nadeko posting for her episodes.

I think a good example to look at here would be high school DxD, despite the name it never had much at all to do with high school, I've only seen the anime and read the first 1 1/2 LN volumes so far but I am given to understand in all this time they have only passed a year with only rias and akeno graduating, which leads me to expect that even when it doesn't really affect the story at all people might be reluctant to move on from high school.
