have to agree on that I dislike how fast the anime seems to be compared to Maruyama's lavish and juicy detail in the novels
there's way more of a built-up history with Gondo and rune-craft from a reader perspective hence why you get more attached to him the same goes for the Quagoa
hell in the previous arcs the mental trials Ainz goes through in trying to steadily convince Ainsack is extremely entertaining as well as when he has to come up with a reason for Aura and Mare that a policy of cross-dressing would be a bad idea not to mention being dressed by the maids being an ordeal for Ains
the novels for me are tenfold the better version of Overlord
