SF2 and Fatal Fury were all solid picks. You want to go full Obari as fuck though you should check out Gowcaizer.
SF2 and the Darkstalkers ovas.
Obviously Idolm@ster.
The Variable Geo OVA was also pretty good. The first one. The actual hentai one was a bit crap.
Scarlet Nexus was alright. It had some good openings
Never played the game, but the human sections of Gungrave was great.
Never played the games, but I really love the 2011 anime.
Virtua Fighter was a bit silly.
>MUH skip the first episode
>MUH friendship crime drama
Gungrave anime fucking sucked. Go play the game. The entire story of the anime was something the game was able to sum up in a few paragraphs for the instruction manual.
I don't like the corner cutting animation in it. Way too many dynamic still frames during action sequences. Glad it's getting a new blu ray release though since I've only ever seen it in really shit quality. the new version wont be pitch perfect HD but it will look a lot better.
No Gungrave is really good until they introduce the wacky supernatural powers
Blue Reflection
Sonic Boom
>Make a game about wacky undead gun slingers
>Make the anime about NOT wacky gun slingers
It was shit.
I think you mean the Sonic OVA. Boom was ugly and had too many shitty jokes in it even if it was sometimes funny. Also Sonic's voice fucking sucked. The OVA on the other hand had peak character designs, animation, setting, action, and never overstayed it's welcome
The Mafioso stuff in the first half of the anime is better than anything else in the entire franchise.
The mafioso shit was boring, cliché and building to an obvious head via the cheapest emotional manipulation while pandering to people who think Cowboy Bebop is the height of anime.
forgot to mention it also had the greatest soundtrack of any anime period
>people who think Cowboy Bebop is the height of anime
I mean it is though, objectively speaking
Can you try this again without playing a game of madlibs with your words, using blanket statements, and also making dumb comparisons to unrelated anime.
Asura's Wrath is somewhat an anime adaptation of itself
Otherwise is great too
