Anyone else like this manga? I think it's well thought out and really enjoyable to read, at least for the first half. Shame about the anime.

Same. I never watched the anime but the first half of the manga was surprisingly enjoyable considering the author and I really liked the coherence.
It was one of the very few manga I read where I could really feel the danger for the characters even if it doesn't have almost any deaths on the main characters part.
Unfortunately, the second half is mostly trash, just a regular dark action manga where all important characters have plot armor, with a ton of asspulls, generic and dumb reveals and broken rules.
Unlucky, at least we have that masterpiece of Parallel Paradise

It's one of my favorites, I even dumped some of it here some time ago.
Anime wasn't good but it boosted manga scanlations and watching and discussing it with other anons here was a lot of fun. Even when anime ended it still had weekly new chapter threads until the end.
Parallel Paradise is pretty bad, I don't know how anyone can say it's good, the fact it's still not axed gives me despair.
