Haki is Fucking Retarded

I fucking hate haki. It is everything wrong with post timeskip one piece. It is the most unga bunga magic system in all of anime. Literally takes away any thought ot strategy in a fight. Oh your opponent is an intangible element? UNGA BUNGA ME SMASH! My opponent has an impenetrable defense? UNGA BUNGA ME SMASH AND PIERCE DEFENSE! It's fucking retarded

fairy tail is better

Damn the anime looks ugly

haki should have been an anti-devil fruit mechanic

>Enemy can absorb all forms of magic
>Smash him with a magicless slab of rock repeatedly

That alone takes more braincells to understand than OP fights.

carrotfags still seething

How would Shanks Zoro and Mihawk be relevant then

I don't know, I stopped reading after gear 4

A combination of being smart, strong, clever, and tactful and some sea stone here and there

It's not 'everything' wrong with post timeskip one piece, since there are so many other problems that are unrelated. But it was definitely the laziest possible solution to the logia issue.

>implying devil fruit powers make sense in the first place

It doesn't help with it being based on will power. What the fuck is will power in one piece? It's always portrayed as blind fearlessness. Does facing your fears not count? If it did then the scabbards should have Haki rivaling Kaido just for having the courage enough just to fight against him. This could have a character development based super power but it the characters who do have it are static. Luffy is so static that it doesn't make sense that his haki isn't any stronger. He doesn't change. His defiant attitude is no different now then pre timeskip. Why isn it getting stronger and not already as strong as it could be?

strong ambitions and goals, qualities of a great leader, all that jazz I would assume. The reason why the scabbards even if it weren't already predetermined that they would lose to Kaido for plot reasons is probably because despite dedicating their lives to avenge Oden and defeat Kaido, they all base their existence by serving someone they deem greater, so that would make them inferior and lose it if clashing haki with Kaido

Wasn't it introduced to give regular human jobbers a chance against devil fruit users? Forgive my ignorance on the subject, I stopped reading One Piece at fishman island, a point where the concept of Haki was not explained in any great detail.

Why is everyone pretending that haki isn't able to negate devil fruit abilities?

There was already something like that. It's called seastone

Haki was a mistake.

Because it doesn't

Future sight haki is probably the dumbest. Oda has to keep finding ways to write around it. Either by just giving both characters it so cancel it out, now have stronger haki nullify it, or just ignores it and doesn't have the user use it.

It can prevent people from using their ability. That was Oda's excuse why Law couldn't teleport Kaidou and Big Mom around.

Logia devil fruits were a horrible mistake. Look at Luffy vs Crocodile for example, Luffy was destroyed until he learned about the water trick. Logia fruits are practically unstoppable unless you can find the very specific weakness of theirs.

Haki counters logia so it makes it fair

Honestly that was their appeal. I adored the hopelessness and Luffy having to actually think of a way winning instead of just unga bungaing his way through victory. they introduced seastone the same time they introduced smoker. that should have been enough instead of haki

No shit retard. Haki was created solely to deal with most of the logia shit since oda couldn't be assed with finding new ways to deal with each and every logia

me too user. Not to mention how it retroactive ruins many great moments from pre timeskip which no longer make sense in hindsight.

Anime power systems are always
