Really just allow Sakura to have her specialty. But that would require an entire reworking of the manga to make her more relevant in each subsequent story point.
For a brief moment it actually seemed like it was going to happen (pic related).
Just develop her forehead charm earlier and allow her to use genjustu and other skills that actually control the course of various fights. Give her duels where she isn’t outshined by a grannie, etc.
That’s how you fix her. Almost everything else about her character is acceptable, even the romance. It’s the fact that she was an undelivered promise and a pushover for most of the manga that’s the biggest sin.

You should catch up on the last thread, we were discussing how to actually start her on the path to winning or at least participating in more fights without just being the designated jobber.

The sharingan FEARS sound genjutsu.

Make her fight against someone without Sharingan or make her genjustu special-sauce broken so that it doesn’t matter.
Or just put everything into “Sakura is unkillable” archetype.
Or let her develop a elemental style.
Or all of the above. Literally so many avenues to make Sakura better.

Sakura, herself, doesn't need to be changed all that much, at least in terms of core values. Her hots for Sasuke are fine in the first part, since she's a tween, but once the time skip happens, she should've been a more focused, less obsessed person.
Naruto already fulfills the insane, psychotic stalker obsession role for Sasuke, having Sakura just quietly feel the same is a waste. Here's what I'd suggest:
>Of course she still cares about Sasuke, but his betrayal hurt her so bad that she spent the time skip training and doing everything to get over him
>Naruto still desperately wants to save him, make her completely indifferent to this
>Explore the complicated feelings of WANTING to save him, but the stern, overcorrecting front of completely discarding him as a coping mechanism
>Do more with her cool Tsunade training
>Eventually, it's up to Sasuke himself to make the move to repair the relationship. If he cares as much as the text implies, it should make for a pretty good scene
