It's funny because I indeed find that page really good and impactful all memes aside

Just finished fire punch, what a kino series

The final chapter literally made me weep

not only was that page not impactful but the entire manga is a 5/10 at best

Imagine actually drawing some fucking good fighting sequence with Sun vs Agni, but the netizens only ever meme about Agni's hillbilly moment.

Filtered brainlet. Many such cases

It represents the low point of Agni as a character. It captures a depravity that is rarely seen. It's the face a denizen of hell would make after deluding themselves that they made it into the kingdom of God while flesh melts from their bones.

i felt no emotional resonance with anything that happened in the entire series

to be fair it's been memed to death but it's a legitimately great moment. too bad it's been run into the ground.

>puddle deep exploration of the concept of identity
>filtering anyone

Can you please stop with all these stupid false flag threads? Thanks.

Filtered.

why is this manga so polarizing? everyone that brings it up either thinks it's a masterpiece or the worst manga they've came across, there seem to be no in between

filtered so bad lmao

Was not for you then, and it's okay really.

It's not for everyone, FP is one of those manga where you either get it or you don't.
and when you do it really is one of the best things you'll ever read

media illiterate morons will relentlessly praise anything they come across that seems to be marginally deeper than naruto out of desparation to prove they are 'adult' or that their gook comics are mature and complex and totally valid (Fire Punch, NHK ni Youkoso, Oyasumi Punpun etc). then there are other people that have to shit on anything that strays outside the norm or that they don't like out of sheer contrarianism and spite, regardless of how much merit that work actually has. also the most engaged people are the most likely to comment, positively or negatively. if you didn't particularly like something or didnt think something was amazing you probably aren't going to spend much effort discussing it
