Why do imaishifags and gainaxfags hate on Kill la Kill? It wasn't as good as TTGL but it was still pretty damn based, and can't see how anyone would who liked one would dislike the other. It had some great visual direction especially during action sequences, Sushio's deisngs are unique and memorable. Ryuuko is honestly a better character than Yoko or Simon, who were sort of bland in the end. Not that Imaishi produced that many works but this is still his second best.
The complaints about fanservice are laughable. Makes me think it's just people who want to come off as more mature by critisizing the show for it, even though it's one of the few works where the fanservice was thematically and narratively relevant. Not that it needs to be so in the first place.
Because while it had a very cool concept the entire show is framed inside TTGL's shadow. Like a metaphor for Trigger and why it's such a mediocre studio next to OG Gainax.
Brayden Robinson
I like it more than gurren laggan, it was way faster paced which is a big part of what makes imaishi's shit great, he makes stuff it's impossible to get bored from.
Isaiah Lee
>Ryuuko is honestly a better character than Yoko or Simon Lol no. How is a chosen one better than a character who actually had to grow and struggle to get to the top? Not to say that Ryuko is a Mary Sue but she can't even carry the show by herself. Simon on the other hand was the star of the show, Kamina being the only one that could rival his position. I love KLK btw, but Ryuko is not the reason why people like it.
yoko is soooo bland as a character Simon is okay, but not that deep
Jason Phillips
Didin't defend Yoko. She does her job well enough as a side character. KLK side characters are much more interesting, since the protag alone isn't enough to keep the show afloat. >but not that deep When you watch more anime you will realize that TTGL had a protag like no other.
Oliver Cox
i love them both :)
Christopher Bailey
Kill la kill focuses on themes about women growing up, but with a male audience it was doomed
Jack Stewart
>themes about women growing up Fucking what? I thought it's about how brands, be it social or even clothes, define and constrict you. Something like that. What is supposed to be so exclusive about women in KLK?
Noah Lee
MGR but has women
Samuel Walker
>It wasn't as good as TTGL It was far better.
Cooper Myers
>How is a chosen one better than a character who actually had to grow and struggle to get to the top? Yeah, because Ryuko didn't need to struggle at all right? How can anybody take your opinion seriously if you don't even acknowledge objective things? Did you even watch KLK?
Oliver Ortiz
>because Ryuko didn't need to struggle at all right Not really. The main villain of the series for the first half turned out to be her sister who loves her and then every other major antagonistic force loves her as well, except for the loli and her own mother. On top of everybody loving her she get's to be the chosen one with powers like no other. This is so retarded that the writers didn't even know how to add drama to this so they made Ryuko be like >OH NO I AM THE STRONGEST BEING KNOWN TO MAN HOW CAN I COOOOOOPE It's stupid. Like I said I still love the show. But let's not kid ourselves here.
Dylan Powell
There are kinda lots of protagonists like simon tbhhh
Justin Johnson
>she get's to be the chosen one with powers like no other One of the reasons i hate the last episodes
Yeah. Honestly if it had an action sequence like Gurren Lagann had I would have not given a shit, but it really wasn't that all that great.
Thomas Allen
Like I already said, your opinion is completely meaningless if you don't even acknowledge objective things. It's also pretty sad that your shallow view on Ryuko can be applied to Simon with little to no changes. >Like I said I still love the show. But let's not kid ourselves here. You give me second hand embarrassment.
Adam Martinez
Dai, Deku, Naruto
Eli Barnes
Satsuki should have killed Ragyo in the final episode.
Luke Powell
>Naruto He gets to be a god by the end lol what are you talking about? He did fuck all and was born with an insta win button implanted in his body >Deku He started of like Simon, true. But then he also got the strongest ability in the Universe shoved down his throat. >Dai Didn't watch the DQ anime, only played 11 and he was a chosen one but who knows what the anime adapts.
Simon wasn't born or given shit. He was just some loser punk kid and grew up to be a hero. Sorry, user. Nice try but Simon still is a protag like no other.
Carson Brown
There are, and it makes me realize how many of them fuck up the character arc Simon had.
Anthony Diaz
>He gets to be a god by the end lol what are you talking about? Simon as well, what are YOU talking about? >Simon wasn't born or given shit. This is canonically wrong
Owen Cox
>Simon as well Holy shit, what? Let me tell you what happened in Naruto. >Naruto fucking dies >lol jk you actually have the chakra of some alien fuck and so not only do you get to live you also get to keep Guy from dying although the used the one ability that had the consequence of death Simon is not a god in the end. He is a hero of earth because he beat the villains. How is that being a god? >This is canonically wrong Tell me why.
