Retarded but entertaining to watch with Any Forums.
it was the beta release of Cross Ange. Sunrise fixed all the issue and upgraded everything from VVV, and Ange was the result.
It was great
I can't believe it's been nearly 10 years since the last good anime.
Something like VVV is what this board lacks, an anime so insane and original it units the board in specula about its developments.
Ange sucked. It wasn't insane enough, too predictable.
Boku janai
Remember when the storyboards got leaked?
I couldn't believe they were real until the episode actually aired.
it was funny
Better than people think it is, but still basically a B-movie except anime.
Fun first half, terrible second half.
>Call me Moses
Not enough consensual rape in anime
The first OP was banging
It did at the very least give us one of Sunrise's best heroines (who they did dirty in the second half, which was a huge mistake).
Honestly, just getting to see more of her is enough reason for me to want Sunrise to do something new with the series.
>It did at the very least give us one of Sunrise's best heroines (who they did dirty in the second half, which was a huge mistake).
Either Okouchi didn't give a crap about her or he clearly miscalculated her unexpected popularity compared to the other characters.
Babby's first "bad" mecha show. To think /m/ still has a butthurt troll who has been stalking that board for almost ten years now, partly since he was butthurt about Valvrave.
I think Saki could handle her own show, but Shoko sure as hell couldn't.
>I think Saki could handle her own show, but Shoko sure as hell couldn't.
The entire character concept for Saki is something I wish gets revisited in some future anime because it's something I like to see expanded upon.
Bakemono!
I'm just really curious about how it went down. Haruto seems to have accomplished NOTHING by the end of the show:
> Girlfriend became a pilot
> Magius are all slaughtered
> Students are mostly slaughtered
> Co-existence is impossible
> Empire descends into a new dark age of superstition and purges
> All the survivors can never rejoin the greater galactic civilization, they're still stuck in space
> Fighting is continuing CENTURIES later, against the Death Moo Army.
...What did he even accomplish, other than the accidental genocide of the Magius?
oh yeah and he didn't even destroy the Valvraves
Yeah, it almost seems like he didn't want to delve more into her, given that he would then have to go more into her relationship with Haruto (which we all know would have to give more repercussions for "that" scene), so he did the lazy thing via separating them for most of the second half.
Honestly, I think a real wasted opportunity was not having him try to rescue her after seeing her life (and possibly her idol career) destroyed thanks to that execution broadcast.
(Warning for me rambling here)
Like, I'd have him go it alone to save her after helping the others escape, as he wouldn't want to involve others on this dangerous mission. It could make for a great contrast with L-Elf, in that he's going in with essentially nothing but his gut instincts rather than plan the whole thing out. Mirroring how L-Elf dropped everything to try and save Lieselotte when he had the chance, only to realize that, even with countless scenarios planned out, he still failed.
However, because Haruto didn't rely on an exact plan, he would succeed in the rescue, as he was more flexible and able to adapt to any changes. Again, it could've made for a good contrast, and increased his character positively.
But, that would mean less time dedicated to showing the oh so important relationship drama between him and Shouko, and we can't have that now, can we?
KAKUMEII WOOOOO
