Tankobon releases for Friday.
Nice Mao this week.
Can somebody explain the んちゅ stuff?
I guess it's just a way of pronouncing 人 based on Okinawan dialect, probably gets used in merchandise and that sort of thing.
Isn't Okinawan a language of its own? I don't see how you can get うみんちゅ from 海人 in Japanese. 海 to うみん seems possible but 人 to ちゅ seems unrelated.
Volleyx2 and Love Come Quest are totally doomed from the start. Not sure how Amane and Golden Spiral will do maybe the author names can carry them at least a bit.
It's a bit strange how Sunday has trouble with finding this mildly successful series. Maybe the next serialization round will have some series that will find decent success.
The biggest problem seems to be sports since Typhoon Relief and Red Blue also failed.
Why did they announce the new series so early? They're slated to start in issue 43 which is still over a month away.
Most people there speak Okinawan Japanese according to wikipedia. But I'm not any kind of expert on Japonic linguistics anyway, this is just from googling a little. Here's a dictionary entry which seems to explain it succinctly:

Amano reloaded TL when? T-T
Had you started to learn Japanese when the comic started you could read it by now.
>Golden Spiral Chapter 17: Leave it to chance
>For the sake of protecting
>the things that are important to us
>We will not shy away
>from any sacrifice.
>Sidebar: The fourth test is still underway...!
>Too bad, it's white.
>Dammit!
>With that, there's just three people left.
>Your "strategies" are already pretty limited, right?
>Well then,
>who's next?
Is anybody going to buy the volume?
>The strategy-eliminating coin toss!
>You just have to guess whether the coin lands with white face up, or its black face...
>But you can't use the same "strategy" that someone else has already used before you!
>If they restrict the strategies any more than this, there's no way I'll be able to pass!
>Me!
>Sure.
>Garo! Haven't you come up with any strategies yet!?
>Well, I'm sure it's going to work out somehow.
>So positive!
I'm personally not going to get it, not around release at least. Maybe I'll pivk
>Now, black or white?
>Huh?
>Isn't that...
>I can see it, just barely!
>It's black!
>Is it because of the sun's position?
>The amount of light must be just enough for me to see it...!
I meant to say, maybe I'll pick it up when the next Mao volume comes out.
>It's black!
>I did it!
>...Huh?
>Too bad~
>It's white.
>No way!
>Two remain.
>Now,
>who's going next?
>I would like to do it.
>Is that fine, number 919?
>Yeah!
>I haven't figured out any strategies yet, anyway!
>When you're close, you can *see* the coin.
>I'd guess that they all fell for that trap.
>However, when the cup is lifted, it has mysteriously flipped around.
>There must be some kind of mechanism in the coin and the table.
>Just one thing.
>I would like to perform the coin toss.
>You can catch it in the cup like usual.
>Fine?
>*Catch*
>I have one thing to say, as well.
>Being an Escort isn't the kind of cushy job suited for a little girl.
>You don't have the strength for it.
>I don't care if you're from the famous Atlas family or whatever...
>I don't find girls to be suitable for the Escorts.
>*Crackle*
>"Kagutsuchi"
>*Whoosh*
>*Pssh* *Pssh*
>*Clack*
>A fire Magu?
>*Clack*
>What on earth...?
>Well,
>which is it?
>It's a magnet...
>Isn't it?
>Touching the coin confirmed it for me.
>The white side is smooth "Nakage stone",
>while the black side is rough "Useki stone".
>Both are minerals with magnetic qualities.
I have no idea if these are actually some real minerals or just made-up stones.
>And earlier,
>you showed us that you have an "electric" Magu.
>Which can only lead us to one conclusion.
>There is an "electromagnet" inside the table.
>An...
>An electromagnet!?
>By letting out some electricity, you could activate the electromagnet...
>And use it to flip the coin by repelling the side that's facing down.
>However, magnets lose their magnetism when exposed to a sufficient amount of heat.
>And my Magu can reach temperatures of up to 3000 degrees Celsius...
>If my prediction is right, you shouldn't be able to flip the coin properly now,
>and it should still be "white", just like I saw through the cup a moment ago.
>Pass...
>Amazing!
>I hadn't figured out that it was something like magnets at all!
>I'm sorry.
>Huh?
>Thanks to me, your test is now up to pure chance.
>I pray that you are very lucky.
>Well, this is a problem.
>Without the magnets, this is just a normal coin.
>As such, I can't really use the see-through cup anymore, can I?
