Many of them are actually conventionally attractive, I assume vtuber agencies make sure of it during screening process to avoid backlash if they get found out.
Also, their artificial voices are very obvious if they're male. Many male vtubers with female avatars don't even bother changing their voices because of that, they're open about it. Although you probably could count those independent vtubers as simply youtubers, they only added vtuber part because it's trendy and to have a facecam without really having it.

And how much would her real-life persona (in this case a heavy one since he already used to know her) affect said relation?
