And to make it worse, he chose this route instead of having daily threesomes with maids while living for free in a castle.
The wording unless it's a shitty translation is a bit odd there, it's not "do as you wish" but "do as you will", which could also mean he will do as he will, i.g. it is preordained what he will do.
