>the ending is one of those "lol i remade reality and erased ur memories, thus invalidating ur entire journey haha" kind of endings which just pisses me the fuck off beyond belief
>the whole journey ends up being so pointless and anticlimactic that I honestly can't even remember the finer details of the ending or why anything happened or who was involved, just that I watched S2 twice and I remember being really pissed at the ending

S1 is one of my all time favorites. I still rewatch it every few years. Weirdly, the older I get the harder the stories hit in the feels. It's great, but so fucking bleak.
S2 just wasn't as strong and the ending rendered everything meaningless, I'd rather not think about it.
