Mob is a solid comedy, Demon Slayer is a solid battle shonen.
Mob is mostly aimless, has weak plot and few narrative hooks. It's mainly about the comedy/charm and Mob himself.
Mob also has weak "coolness" appeal, as well as weak merchandising.
It's as popular as it had any hope to be.
