I've heard something about Kyon experiencing a space war. And I think it mentioned hime experiencing it in his front yard. Was that about Day of Sagittarius or was it a reference to something that happens in the LN but wasn't animated?

First time you see more members of Koizumi's faction. Done by the antagonists of that arc who want to read the novels yourself transfer Haruhi's powers to Kyon's childhood friend who used to wield them back then, since Kyon seems to be the one who bestows the powers

Like said, it's technically an extraterrestrial conflict amongst these factions (Nagato, Kimidori and Kuyou), just not some full scale war with many people. The cool part in the scene I mentioned is that it's Asakura's first appearance after she got erased in the anime, and she's holding Kyon at knife point for the entire scene since Kuyou wants Kyon alive, making this a pretty unique fight. IIRC there's some 2D shit on top of that too

I think the comment that was talking about the extraterrestrial conflict meant that conflict between these factions (Nagato, Kimidori and Kuyou) and my mind when I've heard about alien war or something like that imagined Kyon watching some kind of space war during the night in his garden or something like that.
