It's mostly Higu animeonlys that don't know how to read

Probably mindbroken by WTC's current state and unfortunately take it out on each other.

i didn't even knew that was a thing

I don't think there's a specific animosity unique to wtc, it's similar to people that like Higu/Umi arguing with fans of another popular series. It's probably just a bit more intimate considering they're two works from the same series.

You talk about something you like and people will argue with you.

The mystery of Higu is so fucking dogshit that any fan of the series completely skips over the plot entirely which is R07's bane in order to talk about the characters, their interactions, and backstory, which is where R07 shines.
Umineko on the other hand fall into the pitfall of having the mysteries, the locked rooms to solve, the shit plot, AND the characters and interactions. As previously noted R07's plots are dogshit and his writing style sucks, but the character game is so fucking good you can't help but fall in love with the cast, and the mystery here is interesting too.
This creates a disparity where Higurashi fans just talk about characters and what they like or dislike about em, while Umineko is plagued by people disparaging the plot, lamenting the deeper themes, metaverse magic vs real magic vs illusion magic, and the retards who plague the threads with "muh trannies". The charm of Umineko's mysteries if for you to figure them out yourself, so these don't get discussed as much.
Neither of these discussions have an ounce of meaning or progress, but one is infinitely more light hearted and fun than the other, and if anyone tries to have a good conversation about Umineko's characters, people will suck the entire conversation into the theme, the plot, or the "muh trannies". It fucking sucks so God damn much. Pair that with the fucking annoying italian autist, and there's no ability to make headway in the fucking discussion. Pair this again with the fact that Higu gets all the fucking limelight, from animes and game crossovers, umineko is completely overshadowed despite being an equal if not better VN.

This only proves it was possible for Battler to fuck his aunt.
He would make Maria happy and would get a sexy wife to boot, if only he wasn't into trannies.

It helps that the first 5 or 6 chapters are heavily focused on the characters and their backstories while the real plot only takes center stage in the last two chapters(and the tail end of 6)

If R07 just made a romcom slice of life that had some magic/mystery on the very peripheral instead of front and center, he'd be a king in every right. Tsubasa is the real peak fiction of Umineko.

thanks

Umineko has decent characters, horrible plot and writing, butchered themes and nonsensical story structure. Higurashi is way better even if as a mystery it "cheats".
