One of the best

>it's been 15 years
Don't remind me.

Why is his eye like that?
Why did he decide to become a hobo?
Why didn't he keep in touch with his childhood friends?

>Dies without reproducing
Why are Japanese heroes like this? lmao

Overrated trash.

FPBP Any Forumstards will never understand the greatness of a bittersweet ending

Soon it will be 20 years. Then 25. Then 30.

Then 50 years....

this image has slowly started hurting me more as the years go by

This was the the first anime I ever watched with Any Forums live on NicoNico. Good times.

Yes only brainlets hate it.

>Why is his eye like that?
He's old
>Why did he decide to become a hobo?
He's not really good at anything but digging
>Why didn't he keep in touch with his childhood friends?
We didn't see everything he probably saw them from time to time.

An ending where the protagonist fades into obscurity and lose touch with their friends leaves a bitter sweet taste in my mouth that I don’t really like.

rossiu said he hasn't seen him since then

the eye is because of the spiral power, he kinds gives lord genome vibes

Rossiu wasn't really his friend though, he was just part of the brigade.

Possibly the most disappointing anime i have ever watched. Post time skip was absolute trash.

I still think it’s weird that Nia disappeared just because she was an anti-Spiral product. also, how did that work again? because the daughter of the Spiral king but also an agent of the anti-spirals, I mean.

Yeah, I really liked it when I first watched it and nowadays I like it even more

I feel that. I do prefer the first half versus the second half. If I wanted Getter Robo I'd just read/watch Getter Robo.

>Why is his eye like that?
Lordgenome like Spiral Power eyes. Except he's got one normal. Symbolizes balance. Or maybe it symbolizes that even being an old man like that going on a trip and not doing anything spectacular is "spiral power" in its own way. He's doing the best he should be doing, and that's what spiral power is, in a way.
>Why did he decide to become a hobo?
He traveled the world to help people and achieve Nia's dream. It's his way to keep with her. He knew when to press forward and he knew when to retire.
>Why didn't he keep in touch with his childhood friends?
He probably did

No, it's garbage.

Yes, one of a VERY few shows that ever reached that hype to have an objectively great end

She was being kept "existing" by antispiral space magic. Antispirals were all kept in cages and had a "representative" being projected to interface with spirals and talk to them about the perils of gett- I mean, spiral energy... Nia was just one of those interfaces, a soulless AI until Simon's affection made her actually aware of her own individualness.
Killing the antispiral representative was akin to turning off the computer emulating her.

this

People who hate the second half or prefer the dumb monster of the week first half are usually not worth listening to

>people with different opinions are wrong!
Classic.

>People who hate the second half
Tgis gonna be good
>dumb monster of the week first half
NVM, it's a brainlet.

He never scored
So no not for him he really just became a homeless dude because he lost his AI gf

didn't the director say they had sex

Yes but they had no children.

I fucking hate this Japanese shit so fucking much what is up with this retarded Japanese ideology that you have to fucking die, that you can't use your godlike power, that you will become a fucking goddamn retarded office worker?? I swear like boy they literally made a fucking mecha that is like 20 billion light years big BUT SAVING ONE LIFE?? nah that's too much, think about the balance! Are Japanese really that dumb? They're nothing but docile dogs that accept mediocrity and always shit on having immortality. Especially immortality, wtf is their problem with it?
