What is the point of "harem" anime where it's actually just monogamy with a bunch of hopeless side chicks taking up screen time?

Strike the Blood is one of the rare examples of a harem series actually having a harem end.

the point is that the MC can meet a new girl and rescue her from danger, causing her to fall in love with him. And you get fanservice with many different girls that appeal to more readers.
Sure, it might hurt the overall narrative and leaves a lot of loose ends, but the author's goal is sell copies not to make a flawless work of art.

The harem other than yukina and avrora was shit

Getting to look at all the girls' boobs and panties

Harem end is only exclusive to LNs. Rare are manga to have harem end

The final OVA episode was such a disappoinment. Even the "iie senpai" line felt rushed. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

>highly developed JCs
Does it get any more fertile?

iee senpai this is OUR harem, or something like that maybe

But this a real harem

The point is to have a bunch of attractive women act all jealous towards each other.

still waiting for a batch of the entire series that isn't 100+ GB

The side girls won't end with mc, meaning they can still end up with (me), so that means I win

Contest of morals, to say "these girls are worthless trash whores undeserving of the top prize, immoral, improper, unwifeable women" character assassination to prove what the proper and only valuable kind of women, the only worthy kind of wife is

Moralizing through the idea that ending up with the MC is the number one thing that objectively determines a character's value. No differences in taste, differences in personality. certainly not in the eyes of the hyperconformist Japanese.

Harem is an incredibly preachy genre.

thats a very boring cover variation, do they not have other characters?

They're principally romcoms that develop harems because they believe more girls means potentially more story, more fans, and more money. But it's expected that the MC will end up with one (usually obvious) girl in the end. And even if only one girl wins, the audience can be comforted with the feeling that they are considered attractive by multiple women, as it's not just one odd girl liking the MC.

A lot of series end in harems because they are more blatant power/sex fantasies and it simply wouldn't do for the MC to destroy something good. Contrast that with romcoms, where harems are treated as more of a nuisance.

It's so autists like the OP don't get their hopes up but it looks like it didn't work.

A very cruel author, usually.

Like with Jimbei from Mushibugyo manga?
