Too much time happened, people would tolerate the baby character and the shipping bullshit if it was right away after S1, but this is what happens when you bring back a show so much time later with maybe it's worst arc.
The thing about novels and mangas... is that there is no sound, so you don't have to hear an adult woman trying to sound like a baby, not that a real baby would sound any less annoying.
And then you have the actual plot of the story, MC answer to everything is to just claim he deserves to die, even though either angels or humans are portrayed any better, Emilia just wants dick now, Chiho becomes a cuck (which is ironic since she is going to win anyway) and everyone else is useless.

Honestly, my biggest issue with it is the art. S1 had a distinct style to it, and it's bugging me I can't quite decide to what extent S2 character designs look Bad or if it's just me being biased because it's different.
