Fuck you for making me fall for the Chainsaw Man meme

So after endless shilling on this board, I finally decided to read CSM. If it "dethroned One Piece" and broke all records, it must be worth reading. So I got through the entire first part.
What the actual fuck did I read?

>Characters
Makima turned out to be a disappointment to rival Junko in Danganronpa 3. She's not some super-charismatic mastermind, she just has hypnosis powers. She's also pretty one-dimensional (like most characters in the story), exactly the heartless "the end justifies the means" thot you'd expect her to be after seeing her once, I hoped for some twist to it, but no. Everyone else gets barely any development and then dies (so fast that I can't even remember their names), so whatever. Power was cute I guess. The main character is pretty fucking bad - he's incredibly reactionary, the joke about his pathetic desires is stretched out way too much, and you end up just watching him go through the motions, no emotional involvement whatsoever.
>Story
It exists. It didn't really go anywhere. A lot of cliches (Aki is a big offender, everything about him was generic), but there were some moments, like Reze's story.
>Action
Pretty good, that's where the artistry of this manga shines. Creative too, sometimes.
>Artwork
A mixed bag. Action looks good, but character shots are sometimes awkward and linework is uneven.

It's fine overall, has its moments, but after reading it, I'm just left empty, as if someone promised me a glass of fine wine and I ended up drinking water. Was all this hype really justified? What am I missing here?

Your first mistake for believing this. Because not even in a bizarro world would happen.

well you're on Any Forums so statistically speaking you've been depressed for so long you think thats whats normal, your emotional responses to new things are all muted, and your brain's ability to form new longterm memories is impeded so nothing leaves a strong impression.
also the surest way to be dissapoinred by something no matter who you are is to go in with lofty expectations

falseflagging should be bannable

Read D-Frag instead

What I didn't get is, what incentive did Makima get out of wanting to create an ideal world?
If devils feed on fear, why is she trying to make a world without fear.

based and truhpilled also power is trash and bland too

she wanted to delete things that she didn't like, not trying to make a world without fear.

Chain saw man has proven to be so great, that a single message cannot convey the sheer brilliance of it. Regardless, I will try my hardest to convey the core concepts, that reveal CSM to be the greatest piece of fiction on this planet. To understand CSM one needs to explore the darkest and deepest secrets of heroism. To appreciate CSM is impossible in this post modernist type of society. Like many masterful pieces of fiction, such as, 1984, Macbeth, The Odyssey, Lord of The Flies, The Illiad & many others, it takes time to truly be unanimously appreciated by the true critiques. CSM cannot be fully appreciated until decades upon decades, centuries upon centuries and millennia upon millennia have passed.

To have at least a partial understanding of CSM, one must display a very high IQ. With this high intellect they must scavenge the depths of philosophy listed to Schrodinger, Faraday, Democritus, Newton, Aquinas, Aristotle, Socrates, Machiavelli, Rawls, Locke, Kant, Plato, Mises, Hobbes, Russel, Rousseau, Derrida, Ivo Andric, among many others, to grasp a mediocre understanding of the genius that is CSM.
I spend all my time researching ancient masterpieces such as, The Epic of Gilgamesh, Mtamorphosis, Tain Bo Cuailnge, The brothers Karamazov, and countless others to understand the complex characterization of many characters in CSM. Fujimbo is a pure genius, the amount of depth all the characters have is just, so, astonishing. No other writer has completed this very high standard of a feat before.
Every sentence Fujimbo writes, isn't just a sentence, but an industry changing event. He shows us the true nihilism of the world through CSM. Chainsww man is no mere story, but a reality interpreted from a piece of literature. It shows the darkness and the struggles of realism (Ex. Denji vs Aki47). With all this said, Fujimbo has far surpassed George Orwell.(edited)

Stopped reading there
also, going into any story with the expectations given to you by it's retarded reddit fanbase will always end in disappointment

All jokes aside, how the fuck did this get so big? I'm not sure on its manga sales, but pixiv numbers for a series that only exists currently as a manga usually don't come anywhere close to CSM.
Did Fujimoto strike gold with this one? Will it dethrone the likes of Demon Slayer in terms of mainstream appeal?

WIPE YOUR ASS TOGASHI FAG AHAHAHAH DON'T TALK TO ME SUBHUMAN MONKEY AHAHSHA MONKEY WANT BANANA OOK OOK
