ITT: Mangaka Tidbits

Most mangaka draw some bonuses with themselves as characters at times, or at the very least, write about themselves in the volume flaps.
Share some interesting stories about mangaka.
This one really made me wonder how the fuck Oshimi Shuzo (and his family) feels about him putting this out there.

Naoko Takeuchi likes to stare at Yoshihiro Togashi's foreskin

someone post paru plz, hers was the cutest

I know SZS's author, Koji Kumeta, is all kinds of messed up

I get a mini stroke every time I remember they're married. What the hell does Togashi have that I don't?

Money and talent.

I suspect this is Jiro Matsumoto poking fun at himself.

How so?

Doesn't the mangaka of Okaeri Alice talk about how he resents not being born female, and his artistic creations are him venting his frustration at his male body?

Unless your name is Eichiiro Oda or something like that, I don't think you get to ask such a question.

That would be Hisashi Eguchi. Not that surprising if you consider that he's the guy behind Stop! Hibari-Kun.

Didn't he also do that "I am Mari" something series?

Well I worded it badly, he's just got unique opinions on things in life. A lot of it is good ideas.
I remember also mentioning in a different thread about him joining a weird radical communist organization when he was younger. The kind that throws rocks at cops and maybe worse.

Oh, that's it? I thought he went full retard or something

No, you're thinking of Shuzo Oshimi. He did Okaeri Alice and Boku wa Mari no Naka.

Oshimi is such a weirdo, I think that's a big reason why I like his manga so much, a perverted loser is easy to empathize with.

Yeah it's really nothing. The man's a great writer.

I also remember stuff Nekojiru's travel log to India being very cynical and borderline racist. Not really surprising considering the very Any Forumstier chapter she wrote with the Jew and the mountain god and the nature of most of her works in general.

Got it. Thanks user.

Same

Yep
