Fate/Zero started the disaster by pulling in a really fucking awful crowd of shallow people.
Fate/Extra is a terrible videogame with a convoluted lore.
Fate/Grand Order did the most damage.
Heaven's Feel was just a very poor adaptation.

Nasu is a very humble person and the atmosphere and tone of HF was good but they fucked it up with a number of plot holes and created their own inconsistencies.

meanwhile in reality..... Heaven's Feel is the canon route and most successful adaptation and ShirouxSakura are together and happy for all eternity.

I just hate that they kept the lewd scenes, they're the best anime movies ever but I can't show them to my parents because Sakura literally drops to the ground from heat and starts masturbaring and then a sex scene with Shirou.

during the first movie but that'd just raise a few eyebrows, nothing big. The Sakura stuff is just too explicit to watch wight them.

But outside of that, they're missing on the best anime horror out there, very atmospheric and they loved Fate Zero.

Naturally they fail to adapt the entire 70+ hours material of HF but they're well done.
