Romance is obviously a noun, what you mean to say since when it's something one can watch, which is perfectly normal usage. The double negative is also perfectly fine you just have difficulties reading it and it in fact adds a different nuance than using a simple positive.

Is it just me or is translating “otoko” to “man” in this context weird? I feel people would say “guy” or “boy” in English.
Like, people use “otoko” in Japanese quite easily for 5 year old children but I don't think they're often called “man” in English.

There are exactly 9 results on Google for ”the baby is a man" "赤ちゃんは男" has millions of hits, almost all of which are normal sentences such as “あの赤ちゃんは男だと思う” or "赤ちゃんは男か女かで大モメだゾ"
