Is it really that hard to replicate the style of Monty Oum's fights? To be clear, I'm quite sure he was extremely talented, but just like any art form or skill, analysis can get you a long way, right? While I don't really mind the anime not focusing on the fights, I feel like the show itself manages to do a disservice a lot of the time. There are a ton of analyses on what made Monty so good, I don't understand why the fights are almost always lame ducks when all the knowledge is there. They managed to improve the general animation, so I wouldn't think fight animations should be completely out of reach.

I'm sure it could be done, but Monty likely had much more leverage and time when it came to the original than the current producers do. Especially time, considering episode length of Vol 1~3.

It felt boring. Animation got rougher and the plot feels repetitive so far with the:

>4.) Shion wakes them up before they get terribly hurt.
>5.) They formulate a new plan then dive right back in.
