As some who already knew about John Titor and really into time travel stuff, this was pretty meh. People who never heard of Titor were jazzed that if references a very interesting bit of internet lore tied to irl events. But to give it credit, it fixes some of the pacing and other issues that the VN had and other issues were not fixed in the other adaptions of the S;A series.
