They are not lesbians. But the animation deliberately pretended that they were lesbians.
But in "Liz und ein Blauer Vogel" there are real lesbians.
I am not interested in lesbian works. But I don't really understand what is the point of pretending that the characters in the anime are gay?

The main works pretend that the main characters are gay.
And the gaiden works have real gay people in them.

For the same reason I answer this to every retard who says you can't have friendship anymore between girls:

You even have stuff like Shinozaki-san Ki wo Ota Shika ni! where the author admitted in one of the volumes he was actually writing a manga about a girl wanting to get closer to her friend, but what he wrote looked so much like yuri that everyone at the editorial office was saying he was writing a yuri manga, so he decided to write a yuri manga instead (and he still writes yuri to this day).

And anime studios are VERY aware of this, Kyoani knew Hibike Euphorium novels were really boring, so they removed most of the scenes with the male character and played up every female character dynamic, because otherwise it would have been a really boring anime. Even stuff like Kuma Kuma Bear and Bofuri had extra content that didn't exist in the novels or the mangas to add yuri, worse in the case of Kuma Kuma Beat where they made the 16yr MC look like she was attracted to a 10yr, or look at Majo no Tabitabi which is a yuri novel but Saya and Amnesia only show up every 3 or 4 novels, what the anime studio did? They pretty much picked all the chapters Elaina and Saya interacted between 9 different novels and made an anime out of it.

The truth is that yuri relationships are objectively more interesting than platonic ones, I'm sorry for friendship incels, but your taste is just inferior because you are also inferior to other people, yuri makes everything better and as the old generation of fat japanese otaku is dying and the new generation does not have the same ammout of income, I'm also sorry to inform that in the next few years you will see the end of the fall of the japanese incel market, fujos and niche markets that have more disposable income will take over.
