He's probably drawing more in secret and plays it over and over in his head while drawing Kazuya wondering what she's up to when she's not around.
It was a betrayal. She said they would ride out the lie out together, and then chooses not to work together with him to make that happen, whether out of mistrust, a misplaced desire to protect his image of Mami (which totally goes against their very first confrontation together, where she defended him for no discernable reason beyond generally "being nice" when Mami shit-talked him at the bar), fear of having to confront Kazuya’s confession and her own feelings, or her own aversion to sad truths. Whether or not it was right to keep the lie going, she made an implicit agreement with him, and then failed to do her part in it, by not making the necessary communication, and running away from him at every opportunity they had to talk things over and keep things under control.
So Paradise arc Chizuru is not a person who should be in a relationship, with anyone. In a relationship you stand by your partner, trust your partner, and communicate everything with your partner. Hopefully she eventually learns her lesson.
