I thought they died. But as the whole the anime was very positive and uplifting. See the following.
>Tanabe's decisive choice
I liked how in contrast at the same time Hachimaki overcame his previous self to make a choice to kill, but was saved from doing so by the gun being empty. Funny how the fighting and killing on the von Braun was made meaningless in light of the fact that the UN gave in and the SDF dumped their guys. Also glad that Tanabe was able to recover quickly, seems like almost everyone apart from Hakim got a happy ending.

>I thought they died
literally no one die in the series. is too much moralistic and goody-goody

>seems like almost everyone apart from Hakim got a happy ending.
also Claire

Yes they did. In the accident that destroyed the von Braun's fusion mirror engines

>literally no one die in the series
Yuri's wife

only one of them

What's it like in the mirror universe?

the manga is better
tanabe a shit

I like the show, but i didn't like much of the second half. Cutting the slice of life and romance off to focus on the terrorism and hachi's existential crises just didn't work for me.

mirror what?

>tanabe a shit
finally

The second half is the only reason why I even care about Planetes.

I can see that. It didn't seem poorly done, I just liked slice of life in a space corporation more, and struggled to empathize with Hachi's mental anguish. If you want a stronger plot, or could relate with the issues being presented it might be a step up. It's hard to find slice of life that isn't just little girls doing nothing

Only one of them survived. The coward one. The rest died.
>is too much moralistic and goody-goody
How did you get filtered so hard?
The second half is literally what saved it.

>How did you get filtered so hard?
how can be realistic the fact that nobody die?

The one where everything is the opposite of what occurs here

>ESL
Ah, that explains it

sensei dies, all the ninjas die and a lot of more

Tanabe should have died badly.
Claire too. Hakim should have been shot

>Tanabe should have died badly.
no shit, love saves she
>Claire too.
she repent and thats fine and pays for her bad actions
>Hakim should have been shot.
at least he didn't shot the selenita and stopped his terrorist way

The terrorists motivations were done surprisingly well. That is the main draw for the anime. The SoL stuff was fairly weak and Tanabe is annoying, even if her innocence is there to contrast with the rest of the mood.
