I'm going to stop at this thread because coincidentally a few minutes ago I saw this movie; Vampire Hunter
D 1985.
And I must say that not all series about vampires have to be crap, at least I liked this movie and more when you see D at the end following his path until the end of time while you listen to the music in the background. If you don't like the genre then don't watch it, but don't get away with it; "If I don't like it, it's bad."
The only problem I see with this genre is that there is no more to develop it, everything has been explored and I doubt that a creative mind will take the genre of vampirism to an unknown level.

That newly airing Yoshifuki something show is super boring.
There's one where the first episode has like a mobile blood bank, not funny.
The one slice-of-life one with the silver haired vamp with a human roomate, not funny.

There's also one VN where the guy stays in a room of creepy japanese dolls, not sure if that's anome yet, but sucked.
Monogatari is honestly the best vampire related anime.

I don't think any of those apply to Hellsing outside of Seras balancing her humanity with her undeath which takes a backseat to Alucard's completely monstrous nature, which he not only embraces but brags about.
For that matter I'm pretty sure most of them don't apply to DIO either since he's an egomaniac.
