The newer ones, yes. The original had the singing as a valid plot device. The later series gradually amped up the idol aspect until it became a joke.

Yeah that's the crappy VHS remaster.
I want to see a shot for shot remake of the original done in 4k with dolby atmos. Don't change anything, keep the exact original script, but just throw a shitton of money at it to make it look and sound like it deserves to look and sound.
