People hate Near?

Yes because they prefer L
for me its Mello

Yes he’s the worst part of death note, not helped by the fact that despite us being told he’s a genius even great than L he never actually does anything. Mello is the far superior character.
Armin is a terrible character just like every other snk character that isn’t Annie Reiner or Erwin. Emma is cool at first (despite her Down syndrome) but becomes increasingly retarded.

But he's so fuckable

What's wrong with Zeke?

His first appearance is cool but after that he’s just a cuck of the highest order
True but that doesn’t absolve him, his only good appearances are when they dress him up as a girl in whichever arc it was and also in the chibi spin-off to sell more cheeseburgers

people just cant accept that he surpassed Erwin in every way

Wait you meant near not armin, can’t say I’m attracted to him though mello is also kinda girly I’d rather fuck him

Eh Armin was good pre-timeskip, his sacrifice and giving his dream to Eren was excellent and the peak for him, it was just all downhill after that. Erwin was about done too and I can see why Isayama let Armin live instead since they needed a commander figure, but he's just insufferable afterwards, even before Isayama's worship of him assumed messianic proportion in the final arc

Zeke went from legitimate threat to basically LE GOOFY MONKEY MAN. Still liked him a lot, he was still an interesting character and funny as hell but the man was daddy issues incarnate and people who say his plan was good are retarded, it was self loathing shit and terrible even in light of the series ending

The anime adaptation ruined him because the animators were Light fanboys. In the manga it's much more likeable and from his internal monologue it's clear as a pure IQ he's the smartest in the series (althought still overall inferior to Light that have much bigger stats in social relations and initiative)

“Annoying” characters are generally more bearable in manga form but near is still a shit character either way. I hated (and still do, he’s irritating whether I think he’s well written or not) mello and his various obnoxious gimmicks and he annoyed me in every scene he appeared in yet his actions actually convinced me of his competence and his final sacrifice was beautifully done. Near by comparison is just a lelouch equivalent where I’m constantly told he’s a genius yet he never does anything particularly smart

>he never actually does anything.
I see you didn't read the manga.

Was filtered immediately by this. Could not get the hype that was built up around a some girls talking about a fucking cream horn.

In Imouto sae Ireba Ii, in the first 30 seconds of episode 1, a guy gets woken up by a naked imouto, washes his face with her bath water and dries it with her underwear. Greatest filter I've seen in a long time.

He was quite a threat for most of the manga, but his backstory made him into a one-issue self loathing character, I guess it worked if you only want him to be trashed by eren. But it’s still disappointing, and I’m not even mentioning his suicide by Armin and Levi which is a clear character regression

>and his final sacrifice
We dont even know if Mello actually planned to die, or for whatever reason he decided to kidnapp that whore. His motives are left intentionally unknow to prove even the smartest plan can be undone by unpredictable decisions of other people (Light would had won without Mello's actions)

Near and Mello are incosistent characters because we have entire parts of the sage in which they do nothing
>Mello is mostly active in the first half of part 2. Pretty much didnt do anything in the second half between his meeting with Near and his kidnapping attempt
>Near did jackshit after his introduction until the mid point of part 2. He start to do some shit only after meeting with Mello

They pretty much traded place in inactiveness around the halfpoint of part 2. I suppose the author wanted a 3 way fight to make something new, but couldnt wrap it well, turning it into a handicap match between Light and the Near/Mello pair giving themselves tags like some sort of wrestling tag team

I still think texhnolyze’s first episode is the best filter, further compounded by the rest of the series being equally uninteresting. I feel like most people that are deep enough into anime to watch things like imouto sae won’t be too bothered by the content of the series

lmao no one recognised planetes
