I remember switching to the manga after season 1 ended and the plot ended up becoming such a convoluted mess.
Everyone double crosses each other, there's ten different storylines at once, it's incredibly messy. I can hardly even remember what it was about.
I dropped it last year, and to my surprise it's still ongoing. How is the story still not resolved.
I enjoyed the adaptation WIT made, so I would probably watch an anime original S3.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I only picked up the manga because the show ended on such an inconclusive cliffhanger that I just had to find out how it resolved (it didn't). You aren't missing out on much, anyways, and the plot only becomes even more of a hairball after Shinoa's squad teams up with the vamps and Mika becomes a demon whilst 50 flashbacks occur adjacently. There are literally moments where the characters blatantly ask out loud something along the lines of "what the fuck is going on" and "we have no idea who is good or bad" which goes to show that even the author is cognizant of how much of a clusterfuck the plot has become.
